We've been hard at work cleaning up the site and adding new features. One worth noting is a Flash slideshow that will display games in your collection. How best to showcase your games than to bring it with you to your favorite forum and blog sites.

Today we want to share with you an important milestone for Meepod, our official beta launch. While it’s been a grueling process to get the site and FB app to how we want them, there is certainly plenty more to do. The concept of Meepod is simple: the ability to show your friends who you are through your video game collection. In this day and age of social network, your game collection, in some respect, is an extension of yourself. And since video gaming has become bigger than life (literally) from the early pioneering days of Pong and Asteroids to the modern day movie grade realism shooter games, it has become a part of our lives.

The idea for Meepod came about one day when some friends were over for a bbq and at one point, we started talking about each other’s video games and how great it would be to swap games. Sadly, all of us couldn’t remember what games we have. So the light bulb lit up and the rest, you can say, was history.

Our beta version is by no means a final product. In fact, it’s far from it. We are constantly building on it and evaluating members’ comments to continuously improve the experience of the site and the app. Yes, we will make mistakes and hope that you are understanding that we are not perfect, but most importantly is that with your comments and feedbacks, together we will build Meepod to what it should be: your video game social identity (which is really what the name means, “me” “pod”). We hope you support us through our growth and looking forward to having you as a Meember!
